Disobedience

Disobedience is turning away from God’s will. 

The first example of disobedience is in Book of Genesis with Adam and Eve.

“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners…” — Epistle to the Romans 5:19

Disobedience is essentially choosing our own way over God’s instruction.

This is the most important part—disobedience is not the end.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive…” — First Epistle of John 1:9

The parable of the Prodigal Son (Gospel of Luke 15) shows that God welcomes us back fully.
