Pride is when one's ego is apparent. Humility is not a prominent trait. It is a lifting up on one's self above God's purpose for you; thinking of one's self above others(Isa. 14:13).

Self-Consciousness or pride is our natural state of being, from which issues every problem we may have in the world.  The answer to it is to be God and others conscious, as we are conscious of ourselves (Matt. 6:33; 22:37-39).
